To Facilitate the Redevelopment of Hillside School, Aberdour
The school will be relocated elsewhere within the site. This will create a modern fit for purpose facility and protect the existing jobs.
In addition it is proposed to create business units to help with the transition from school to working life. This will also create other local employment opportunities.
Planning Permission in Principle for detailed residential development with associated landscaping, servicing and access and relocation of existing school with associated playing fields, landscaping, servicing and access.
The current Local Plan allocation is as follows:
- ABD 001 Hillside School
- 4.2 Brownfield
- Opportunity Site 70 Private Sector
- This site is identified as a potential redevelopment opportunity for residential and employment uses.
- The residential development will fund the provision of employment land; or building on-site; or the redevelopment of existing buildings. The details of how and when this will be implemented will be established by planning permission(s) and associated legal agreement(s).
The intention is to extend the allocation to allow for 125 dwellings across the site. This will create the funds to secure the future of the school.
